BTS is Producer/Editor Jerry Grant

My appreciation for creativity began at a young age, where I marveled at the paintings and doodles my mom and sister both imagined and created. Though I didn’t inherit the same gene for freehand magic, I received plenty of encouragement to pursue my passions and find creative perspective in everything I did.

In college, I took some film classes, fell in love with the camera and learned to write, shoot and edit a story. My early years in the L.A. advertising scene were spent working with talented creatives, shooting video and pushing buttons for hours on end in dark, windowless edit bays. I was in heaven.

I later realized a calling as an TV commercial producer, equally valued for my creativity and strategic insights as for my project management and problem-solving expertise. I’ve made it central to my professional purpose to always find the balance.

Over the years, I produced 100’s of spots, for Fortune 500 giants to local non-profits, winning several awards and citations for creativity, as well as marketing and sales effectiveness. As an Executive Producer and the VP of Production for two global agency networks, I was responsible for over $60 million in commercial production, generating billions in sales for our retail clients. As a Creative Services Project Manager in the digital world, I earned my PMP certification and worked alongside great creative teams and clients, providing ideas, solutions & efficiency for online & social media projects.

When Covid-19 hit and many of us turned to working from home, I pivoted back into the editor’s chair, where once again, I delight in creating and arranging ideas, scenes and sounds…editing, refining and polishing until everything is just right.

Today, I work with brands, agencies, entrepreneurs and non-profits as an independent producer/consultant and video editor, helping them realize and maximize the potential of their programs and ideas. And though BTS is but one person, I bring a deep set of resources, connections and experience to every project.

Stylistically, I’m an ‘extra miler’, always striving to make an appreciable difference in the success of the organizations I work with. This mindset, combined with my comprehensive experience in the strategies and processes for creating work that moves people to act, are my added value.
